Wrinkle Reduction Treatment Paddington
For the last 30 years,
wrinkle reduction treatments have been used for a wide range of ailments, from Cerebral Palsy in children, to twitching eyes and strabismus. It was from treating strabismus in the eye area that medical pioneers, Dr. Jean and Alistair Carruthers, discovered that a side effect of the treatment was a reduction of wrinkles in this area.

Wrinkle reduction treatments work by minimising lines caused from excessive and repeated facial expressions and muscle contraction. The treatment is also effective when used as a preventative measure.
Individual results may vary. A consultation before the first treatment is required, so please notify us of any health conditions or medical history during this appointment. This information will ensure your individual needs are assessed and that tailored advice is provided to you.

How does it work?
Anti wrinkle treatment works by temporarily relaxing specific facial muscles that contribute to expression lines. By reducing excessive muscle movement in targeted areas, the appearance of dynamic wrinkles may be softened, while maintaining natural face expression.
How long does it take to work?
The longevity of results varies between individuals. In general, the effects are temporary, and maintenance treatments may be discussed as part of an ongoing treatment plan during consultation.
Which areas can be treated?
For Anti -wrinkle treatments are commonly used to address expression lines in areas such as:

- Frown lines (between the brows)
- Forehead lines
- Crow's feet (around the eyes)
In some cases, treatments may also be used in selected areas of lower face following a thorough consultation and assessment by a qualified practitioner.
Chin
Occasionally the chin is quite bulky or can have an orange peel appearance on the surface of the skin. This is caused by an overactive mentalis (chin) muscle. Treatment in this area can be used to relax the muscle, smooth out the skin and reduce the crease that appears on the chin.
Jaw-facial slimming & excessive teeth grinding
The masseter muscles are located on either side of the jaw and play a key role in chewing and clenching. In some individuals, these muscles may be more prominent due to genetics or frequent clenching or grinding of the teeth.
Anti wrinkle treatments may be used to temporarily relax the masseter muscles, which can help soften the appearance of a wider or square jaw and create a more balanced facial profile over time. In selected cases, treatment of this area may also be considered for patients who experience excessive jaw clenching or teeth grinding, following a thorough consultation and assessment. Suitability for treatment, expected outcomes and potential benefits vary between individuals and will be discussed in detail during your consultation.
Downward turning corners of the mouth
The muscles around the mouth play an important role in facial expression. In some individuals, increased muscle activity at the corners of the mouth can contribute to a downward pull over time.
Anti-wrinkle treatments may be used to temporarily relax specific muscles in this area, which can help create a more balanced appearance around the lower face while maintaining natural expression.
Upper lip - lip flip & vertical lip lines
The muscles around the upper lip are involved in everyday movements such as speaking, drinking and facial expression. Over time, repeated muscle activity in this area may contribute to the appearance of the fine vertical lines above the lip or changes in lip movement.
In selected cases, muscle relaxing treatment may be used to temporarily relax specific muscles of the upper lip, which can help soften the appearance of vertical lines and subtly enhance the lip's resting position while maintaining a natural look.

Neck - platysmal bands/ Nefertiti style treatment
The platysma is a thin muscle that extends from the chest up through the neck and into the lower face and jawline. With time, increased muscle activity and natural ageing may contribute to the appearance of vertical neck bands and changes in lower-face definition.
Anti-wrinkle treatments may be used to temporarily relax selected areas of the platysma muscle, which can help soften the appearance of neck bands and support a smoother, more balanced contour of the lower face and jawline.
Gummy Smile
In some individuals, increased muscle activity around the mouth and upper lip can cause the lip to lift higher than desired when smiling, revealing more gum tissue.
In selected cases, anti-wrinkle treatments may be used to temporarily reduce muscle activity in this area, helping to create a more balanced smile while preserving natural expression.
* A thorough consultation is essential to assess facial movement and determine whether treatment is appropriate.
