Why is the Vampire Facial so popular in 2020? Otherwise known as the blood facial or autologous blood injection. Put simply, the Vampire Facial is when the patient’s own prp is infused into their skin with micro-needling or injection. Micro needling enhances skin resurfacing while, the plasma stimulates the production of new collagen.

What should you expect when booking a Vampire Facial?
On arrival, the patient’s blood is taken and spun in the centrifuge machine which separates the red blood cells from the plasma. The prp can either be injected or micro needled in, on the areas previously discussed in a consult with your skin technician. The procedure is relatively pain free, if you have had micro needling before you will know what to expect.
At the Privee Clinic Sydney, we recommend 3 treatments per area spaced approximately 1 month apart. After this a top-up is usually recommended every 6-12 months.
Is there any downtime post treatment?
Most patients can expect to see slight swelling and redness post treatment that takes 1 – 2 days to subside. It is best to schedule your Vampire Facial 2 weeks outside of any social events, just in case there is any bruising.
